Primary Care Evening and Weekend Access

Evening and Weekend appointments are now available, through the NHS Improved Access Scheme.

Please contact the surgery for more information and to book appointments.

Urgent Appointments

If you have an urgent problem during surgery hours, please call us on 01493 369232.

If you require an urgent appointment or a longer appointment please inform the receptionist at the time of booking. Urgent appointments are available twice daily, usually at the end of booked surgeries.

Same-Day Appointment Booking

The practice is committed to same day booking and we endeavour to give our patients an appointment on the day they ring. There are occasions owing to holidays and illness when we may have to offer an appointment on the following day.

Extended Hours

Our practice offers extended opening hours. These appointments will be especially useful for full-time workers who find in difficult to get to the surgery in the early evening. Ask our receptionist for details and visit our opening hours page for details of the times.

If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. For further information please see our Chaperones policy.

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to attend for your appointment please tell us in good time so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.

You can use one of the following methods:

  1. Cancel Online using Patient Access:

  2. Cancel Online using this alternative method:
    Cancel your appointment online (no login required).
  3. By Text Message:
    When you receive an appointment reminder by text, simply return a text message saying you do not want your appointment anymore.
  4. By Telephone:
    Please call us on 01493 369232.
  5. By Fax:
    Our fax number is 01493 369022.
  6. In Person: Call into your surgery and let the receptionist know in person.

We can offer your appointment to someone else and therefore help to reduce waiting times.

As part of our commitment to all our patients we monitor the efficient use of appointments. If a patient regularly fails to attend a booked appointment, the practice reserves the right to remove them and their family from the practice list.
